Reflective writing

When we started ICT courses, I thought it would be the most boring course we have ever had. I supposed that we would learn only theoretical questions. During these five months, I became more advanced ICT user. During our classes, we have learned how useful can be ICT in language learning, I discovered for myself that it is much more efficient to improve language skills using various websites and language assessing sites. While the course took place I have learned about many websites, which provides students, who are learning second language, with essential materials like listening podcasts, grammar, reading and vocabulary tests, videos where there are strategies to study language efficiently and many other things. Besides all mentioned things, we also created our own blogs where we can write and share entries, different podcasts, files and images. How useful effective are online self-assessment tests

 Testing our knowledge level is very important stage of learning language. Nowadays we have various types of websites  which provide us with tests which can be useful in improving language level. As I have visited site named examenglish.com,  I can confidentially claim that this site is very efficient to clearify your reading, listening  and grammar level. I have tested my skills with the help of KET and FCE. In my point of view KET was too simple for me and questions were as for beginner level students. On the other hand FCE test was a bit more interesting, but also quite easy to deal with. The great minus of these tests were that, after passing all steps, results are not summarized, so you cannot see overall output. To sum up self-assessment websites is useful when you are beginning to learn language and can be great help for students.

Now in modern technological society learning language witout various types of electronic  devices is difficult. These days learning language with a help of special websites is very popular, so I decided to investigate one. The website named www.teachenglish.org.uk firstly offer to new visitors to assess their teaching skills, then there are a lot of methods of teaching and all of them classified by ages. Also there are lesson plans, teacher development ideas and tips for using ICT in their lessons. For example you can choose different ways of teaching youngsters, teenagers, adults and even elderly people. In the site activities section divided into aged  groups so you are able to choose according to whom you are going to teach. Listening podcasts and applications useful for language learning

In order to improve our language learning skills we should practice more. One of several variants of improving skills is using listening podcast. It can be great practice for our listening skills, however, by listening podcast we also able to improve our vocabulary too, because when we listen we can find new words and use them in our further speech. Applications is modern tool to learn language and improve our skills. As I am mastering my language skills I use different types of applications. I can easily claim that nowadays we can not imagine learning language wiyhout applications because we will not be able even to find word definition. We have applications which can provide us with grammar books, listening podcast, various articles and many other things that are useful in language learning.
